Savvy Check-In Help
How can I check-in without scanning the QR code?
If you look near the bottom of the Check-In Point you’ll see a line that looks like this:
trace.bz/something
Open your browser and type trace.bz/something, replacing the “something” with whatever it shows on the Check-In Point you’re looking at. This will bring you to the same check-in screen as would scanning the QR code.
How do I scan a QR code?
Open your smartphone’s built-in camera app and point it at the QR code. You don’t need to take a picture. If your phone supports it, after about a second it will pop up a dialog asking if you want to open the link in your browser. Click yes or ok and you’ve just scanned a QR code!
If nothing happens when you view the QR code in your camera app, then it may be that your phone either doesn’t support them, or needs to have scanning them enabled.
Does my phone support scanning a QR code?
QR Code scanning is supported with the built-in camera app on:
iPhones: iOS v11 and higher (released in 2017)
Android: version 9 and up (released in 2018)
To enable them on most iPhones and Android phones, open your Settings app, find the Camera entry, and enable the Scan QR Codes option.
There are a wide variety of configuration interfaces out there and we unfortunately can’t help with them all. If the steps above don’t match your settings, we recommend googling for your phone model and “QR Code Scanning” to find some helpful hints.
